Community Board Responsibilities
Land Use and Zoning
All Community Boards, regardless of their geographic location, are involved with land use and zoning issues. We participate in the application process of individuals who wish to acquire, manage, or significantly change the status use of any city-owned property, or change the zoning status of privately owned property within the District.

The City Charter mandates that Community Boards participate in the budget process for the City of New York.

The District Manager and Committee Chairpersons meet with the City's agency's local representatives to discuss the needs of the district, status of service delivery, and resources needed to improve services rendered.
Borough Level
The Community Board meets with Agency Commissioners to discuss budget requests and needs and priorities of the district in an attempt to provide the services

We are involved with many issues facing residents within our district, such as housing complaints against landlords, street defect complaints, water complaints, and other issues concerning the quality of life.
