Hello Residents of Community Board 8!
I would like to cordially invite you and your fellow members of the community to join us for our Brooklyn Public Meeting on Wednesday, May 9 at 6:30 pm at Brooklyn College Student Center, Gold Room, Sixth Floor, 2705 Campus Road, Brooklyn, NY 11210.
This town hall style meeting is intended to open a dialogue with community leaders and residents of Brooklyn in order to better understand police-community relations in the borough. It is a forum for the community to voice their concerns, offer insights, and share experiences with policing and police-community relations in the neighborhood. Members from the community are allowed to make a comment during the public session or sign-up upon arrival to speak.
Elected officials, members of law enforcement, community leaders, residents, and media are expected to attend.
You are more than welcome to extend the invitation to your extended network and through your social media outlets, as all are welcome.
Here is a link to RSVP to the event, although it is not required for entry.
Please bring any form of picture ID for entrance into the building (school IDs are permissible).
I cannot emphasis how remiss we would be without your participation in order to expand the dialogue on bettering police-community relations, in the borough.
I hope you have a great rest of the day and I look forward to seeing you on May 9th!
Best Regards,
Primavera M. Vásquez
