Museum of Food and Drink – Event on Food Culture in Central Brooklyn

May 5, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

On Thursday, May 5, from 6:30 to 8:00pm, the Museum of Food and Drink (MOFAD) will be hosting a public program at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum on Caribbean food culture in Central Brooklyn. Noted scholar of African cuisines and culinary history Dr. Jessica B. Harris will moderate the discussion. She will be joined by Jack Summers, founder of Jack From Brooklyn. Additional panelists will be announced soon. Tickets are $16 for general admission, and $10 for student and low-income admission.
This program is part of a series called MOFAD City that will explore the diverse food cultures in New York’s neighborhoods, with an emphasis on the contributions of immigrant entrepreneurs to the city’s food culture and economy. Each program in the series will bring together local food business owners and experts on neighborhood history for a conversation exploring the food culture of a particular part of New York.

Tickets are available at the links below, as well as at programs.mofad.org.
