Volunteers Needed for Legal Resource Program

October 8, 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

The Crown Heights Community Mediation Center, a project of the Center for Court Innovation, is seeking volunteers for its new legal resource program. This program aims to eliminate barriers to legal access for low-income residents by bringing legal help to the community itself.

Volunteers will be trained by the Mediation Center and working under the supervision of an attorney to provide the Crown Heights neighborhood with legal guidance and assistance around a variety of issues, as well as referrals to full-time legal representation.

Volunteers will be required to commit to a minimum of 3 hours per week at our Crown Heights office, and will be paid a daily stipend to cover travel.
