Walk in Our Shoes Black History Month Celebration

Brooklyn Men [K]onnect us hosting an early Black History Month Celebration on Saturday, January 31st from 1 to 4 PM at 145-147 Utica Avenue. Bring a pair of gently used shoes, tell your story, and get a $10 coupon for a pair of new shoes from Payless.
Stay for a brief and very important educational opportunity to Challenge HIV Stigma & Homophobia and Gain Empowerment (CHHANGE). The CHHANGE Training Institute offers workshops on HIV/AIDS stigma and homophobia and how they adversely affect the health and well-being of the community. The sessions employ a range of educational approaches, including skills-building, interactive, and advocacy/activism. CHHANGE seeks to provide information, challenge misconceptions, increase empathy, and develop response skills.
